Dear Mr Miles,

I have been working in this organisation for the past 5 years as assistant manager of the sales department covering northeast Seattle. I have worked very hard in this department all these years and have earned the respect of all my colleagues. But now I wish to have a change in my job profile as I have covered so many areas in sales already and feel like I am getting jaded in this department.

I would like to formally request a transfer, effective immediately, to the management department and I am confident that I will be able to transfer my work ethic and experience in sales to this new area. Please give me a chance to prove myself and I will be very grateful if you consider my transfer.
