Sorry Letter to Teacher

Dear Mrs. Smith:

I would like to convey my apologies for cheating on my Math examination last week. For the past one month I was out of class due to sickness and missed out on many lectures. When I got back I was informed that we had an exam the following week. I talked to the Math teacher about postponing it but he refused. Despite my efforts to study late into the night I still was not able to catch up therefore I decided to open my notes during the exam. I have read the school handbook and understand the punishment for my actions. I would like you to know that I will never cheat again. I know that cheating is wrong and I plan to talk to my parents about it so as to get counseling. Please forgive me and if possible give me another exam on the same subject.

Sincerely,

Justin Manderin
