Mrs Diana Hudson,
Dr Kahn’s Clinic
Dear Dr Kahn,
This letter has been drafted by me to put forward a request to you. Last week, I came to know about the good news that I am expecting a baby. The euphoria has been overwhelming. However, early this week I realised that I need to have a more practical view of it. Doctors have advised me to take a sabbatical from my work and from all kinds of travelling. There are certain complications owing to which rest has to be taken as soon as possible. Hence, I shall not be able to serve this job of medical assistant for almost a year.
I request you to grant me the leave for one of the most memorable and happiness giving events of my life. I am hopeful that you shall be granting me the time to relish the moments which are very significant for a woman. Hoping for a favourable response,
Mrs Diana Hudson
