A job authorization letter is a formal letter which is used by a person to give authorization or permission to another person to do a job on his/her behalf. These letters must be directed to those for whom the job is being done. A sample has been presented below for your reference.

I, Raymond Black am writing this letter to you with the aim of authorizing Mr. Fred Mathews to complete the IT Repair job work on my behalf starting from 10th May onwards. I had to leave town due to some urgent personal reason and hence considered it best to provide you with a replacement so that you don’t have to worry about your IT troubles in my absence.

I have known Mr. Fred Mathews for 3 years and would like to tell you that he is an excellent IT troubleshooter with over 10 years of experience in the field of IT consulting and support.  I would further like to add that I am in the 4th month of service providing as per the employment contract and this contract shall be continuing without any glitches in my absence.
