Introduction letters

Introduction letters are important business letters as they are generally the first interaction you have with the addressee.

Introduction letters can be personal letters as well, but more often than not, they are generally used for business purposes.

Business introduction letters can be categorized into two types-the business to customer introduction letter and the business to business letter.

The letters must be brief and concise, written in a friendly tone.

The letter must be preferably addressed to a particular person as it is more effective.

The letter must start with a short self-introduction and an explanation about why the letter is being written. One such example could be the new product introduction letter.

It would also be good to mention some positive points which would benefit the addressee as well. For instance, a business introduction letter could end on a positive note about a mutually beneficial arrangement.

It would be a good idea also to reassure the addressee of a follow-up in person to convey the sincerity of the letter. For example, while introducing a product for sale, it would be in your own interest to send someone for explaining about the product in person.

An introduction letter must always end on a positive note.
