I would like to inform you that I am cancelling my request for an interview with you next month. I am deeply sorry for cancelling the interview request but my editor has decided to change the subject of my article just today. I made it a point to inform you as soon as I found out but I know that this is still a reason for some disappointment on your side. I have lobbied to continue the article since I have already scheduled an interview with you but recent events have made another topic more urgent at the moment.
I hope that you will not tire of granting us interviews with you and that this will not affect how you perceive our paper. I will be scheduling an appointment with you to personally apologize for the matter.
