How to write a legal letter is a question that bothers a lot of people. However, as opposed to popular view, writing a legal document may not necessarily be a difficult experience. You can write a good legal letters without the help of a lawyer if you follow a few tips.

The following are some of the effective tips about writing legal letters:

  • Plan your letter carefully and  prepare  a list of all the points that you want to include in the letter
  • Use a readable typeface, like Times New Roman.
  • Prepare your content  in order of importance
  • Use simple words and phrase
  • Never use slang words. Always go for formal tone
  • In a legal letter always use active voice and not passive voice
  • Keep the content precise and to the point. Be careful to avoid unnecessary words
