Dear Mr. Khrishnamma,

I would like to apologize for the improper behavior I showed yesterday at the company staff meeting.  I have not been feeling well due to stress and lack of sleep for several days when the meeting took place.  This is the reason why I suddenly fell asleep in the middle of the meeting.  What happened was unintended and I sincerely apologize for my behavior.  I recognize how important the meeting is and that each and everyone should be attentive during such meetings.  I know that feeling stressed due to work is not an excuse since I could have asked for a leave of absence if I was not really feeling well enough to be attentive during the meeting.  It was a lack of judgement to push myself to attend the meeting.

I am ready to undertake any reprimand that is fitting for my improper behavior.  Again, my apologies.
