Congratulations Response Letter

By | September 25, 2014

Receiving congratulations for work well done feels good. You should also follow up the congratulations with a proper thank you message that acknowledges and accepts the congratulatory note and shows that you are thankful that the person has written to you. Your response to the congratulatory message should be short and sincere and convey your feelings properly. Given below is a sample congratulations response letter.

Dear Joe,

I received your message congratulating me on my promotion and appointment as the director of the company. I was touched by the words you have used to talk about this achievement and thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kind words. The promotion was definitely something I was looking forward to, but was not sure if it would come through this year.

I feel privileged that my seniors thought me capable enough to handle this post and have appointed me as the Director. I also realize that this appointment comes with a lot of responsibilities and will require a lot of hard work and dedication to do justice to all the trust that the management has placed on me. I pray to God that I will be guided by the almighty in the discharge of my duties.

I appreciate the love and affection of friends and well-wishers like you who have been with me in the times that I needed help of any kind, and I know your prayers will also see me through the able discharge of my duties. Thank you once again.

Yours Sincerely

Tom Adams.
