Condolence Letter to A Friend

By | January 6, 2015

The purpose of a condolence letter is to pay tribute to the deceased person and relief and support to the family.  When a person is writing a condolence letter to a friend, who has lost a family member it has to be a simple and steady note that comprises the sender’s thoughts and emotions about the departed person.  It should also make the family feel better. Here is a sample condolence letter to a friend.

Dear Alicia,

I am writing this to notify you my heartfelt condolences on the recent death of your mother. Words cannot express the shock and heartache we feel for you and your family.

Mrs. Fernandez was more than just a wonderful person; we have fond memories of her kind and considerate nature. Whenever I visited your house it was her welcoming smile and kind hospitality that was most endearing and I will never forget that.

I know it is very difficult to deal with this terrible loss of your family. It not only leaves a void in your lives, but in the hearts of all who knew her. We hope and pray that you and your family will sail through this difficulty.

If there is anything me and my family could do for you to deal with the situation, please don’t hesitate to tell me.

Our sincere prayers are always with you and your family.

With Condolences
