Acceptance letters are written not only as a form of courtesy to inform somebody of your acceptance, but in some cases, they may be mandatory as well.

Acceptance letters must be courteous and gracious.

Obviously, the letter has to state your acceptance, be it a job or a school admission acceptance letter.

Even if you think you are sounding repetitive, it is good to mention and be specific about what you are accepting.  For instance, if you are writing an Interview AcceptanceLetter, be sure to mention that.

It is also important to thank the reader for giving you the time or opportunity depending on what you are accepting.  For example, in a Job acceptance letter it would be polite to thank the company for giving you the right opportunity.

The tone must be positive and courteous without being casual.
