Dear Sir,

I hereby wish to submit my resignation from the Board of Directors of ABC Company.  It has been my pleasure and privilege to be associated with this Company.

I have been a part of its huge success story and in my twilight years it will always give me great pride in remembering my small contribution towards it.

The reason for my resignation is my age and the associated health issues I have because of it.  I would also like to make way for the younger generation who can capably take this Company forward.

I wish all the present Members of the Board and the Company all the very best in the future and hope to see the Company achieving greater glories in the coming years.
